(A Beginner’s Guide to Practice Meditation at AYM Yoga School - Rishikesh) While attending meditation class during Yoga Teacher Training, Students start with chanting of Lord Ganesha's Stuti (Prayer) "Vakratunda Mahakaya" mantra for success. The mantra is as follows:- Vakratunda Mahakaya Surya Koti Samaprabha Nirvighnam Kurumedeva Shubha Karyeshu Sarvada The mantra chanting is followed by uccharan of "Om" chanting during AYM Teacher Training class of methodology for meditation. 'Om' is a mantra, or vibration, that is traditionally chanted at the beginning and end of yoga sessions. Chanting 'Om' allows us to recognize our experience as a reflection of how the whole universe moves— the rising & setting sun, the moon at night, the ebb and flow of tides of the ocean, the flowing river, the beating of our hearts and so on.
