Part two: Why is God taking so long to answer your prayer

James 5:15- And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up, and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him James 5:16- The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. After I read this, I was never the same. I changed completely. My marriage, my salvation, my family, my soul was depending on it. So little by little, I changed. From my language, to the music I listened to, to my temperament, to my thoughts etc. Everything. I needed my prayers to be effective. Meaning they yield results. So I saw as those 9 months passed by, that when I prayed, God showed up. Even some of the sisters I ministered to would ask me to pray for them because God hears me and not them. But I would tell them that that means they've got to change so their prayers become effective. Yes you can ask others to pray for you, but dont let it replace your own praying. Be careful who you ask to pray for you. Their heart/life might not be aligned with God. They might not have the same interests as you. They could be used by the devil to delay your answers. If they're not living a life aligned with God, their prayers will not be as effective. It could also interfere with your answers. I must add verse 16- confess your faults one to another and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. DID YOU READ THAT????? IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS, WE WILL BE HEALED? It didn't say forgiven, it said HEALED. We will be healed if we confess our sins. When we are prayed over for our imfirmities, we are healed (aka forgiven). Healing and forgiveness go hand in hand. For some people, their sickness is a result of their sins. Look how faithful our Father is! He covers everything. He gives you more than what you pray for. He always gives you more. If he only heals you physically, you'll be healed physically but youre still spiritually sick, which then, affects you physically (again). God thought of everything. He wants us to be healed inside and out. He wants our heart!
