We have many Japanized western foods restaurants in Osaka. “Mitsuya” is very well known the said restaurant with long history since 1943. Google map rating is very low 3.6 but surely exceeding 4.0. Menu ranges from omelet rice, pasta, sandwiches, pork cutlet, mixed juices, parfait and shaved ice with matcha flavor. They have several restaurants in Osaka and I visited the one located at Namba walk. I ordered “Meat spaghetti lunch , L size” yen 1,100. Taste itself is just a normal standard quality but menu variation covers most of Japanized western foods with many combination dishes. Some English reviews are as follows ; 01. Thank you for our oishii meals. Family of 6 enjoyed the meals. Thank you 02. Legendary Mitsuya Rice 【Ordered Menu】 Legendary Mitsuya Rice Regular Size JPY 1,480 Located about a 2-minute walk from Namba Station on the Osaka Metro. It can be found in the underground shopping area "Namba Walk," on the 3rd street of the southern district. This long-established Western-style café has been in business since 1943. Despite its compact appearance typical of an underground shop, the food samples displayed in the showcase outside are quite eye-catching. The interior is spacious, although the seating is somewhat tight. There’s a nostalgic retro feel reminiscent of Showa-era cafés. ◆ Legendary Mitsuya Rice This dish features all of Mitsuya's popular items, including Omurice, Meat Sauce Spaghetti, Pork Cutlet, and Salad. The Omurice consists of fluffy eggs and homestyle ketchup rice, complemented by a tangy tomato sauce. The spaghetti is soft with a slight char, enhancing its aroma, and it pairs well with the mildly sweet meat sauce. The Pork Cutlet has a crispy coating and a firm meat texture, making it a great match with both the tomato sauce and meat sauce. The portion was generous, and I felt completely satisfied. It was a great meal. 03. Amazing restaurant, super underrated. Was so hungry that I just happen to walk past this restaurant, came across the reviews when I was waiting for my food. To my surprise, the food came and it looks scrumptious and the portion was astronomically huge!! For the price, which was about $7-$20ish SGD per dish, I would say this is such an amazing value especially in Japan! Staffs working here were all polite and attentive. Think of it as a Japanese saizerya when dining here. Would love to come back anytime!
