Hollow Knight: Silksong / How to beat Tormented Trobbio / Tips for the Act 3 boss fight / 4k, 60 FPS
He may be a major pain in the behind, but I just love Trobbio. It's a fight with so much tongue in cheek that it becomes hard to swallow. So, Trobbio is back and as it's befitting Act 3 his "show" is even more melodramatic, flashy and furious: His moveset is basically the same as in the Act 2 fight ( • Hollow Knight: Silksong / Trobbio / Tips f... ) but with a lot more gunpowder and unfortunately about twice as fast. The "balls" he throws are more on target (= you) and they are enhanced with additional steam streaming out in a cross-like pattern before they explode, soon he'll throw them twice in a row, once with a straight pattern, once with a diagonal one which makes it extra difficult to avoid damage. When he does his whirlwind attack he leaves behind sparkling dust which explodes after a short delay; he now often does the whirlwind twice in a row and likes to push you into a corner. Plus he has a new attack where he jumps up and shoots light beams, also in a cross-like pattern (01:03). To sum it up: there's no pause and no safe space in this fight. But the biggest problem is the speed he moves at and that you cannot damage him while he's whirlwinding which he does a lot. Some tips: My best advice is: enjoy the show and fight with a smile on your face for all the theatrics on display, it'll help you get over the several attempts you'll probably need without getting frustrated. Fast healing and anything that gives additional health is helpful. As in the first fight: Don't get distracted by the fireworks and move with purpose! You have to move a lot more than in Act 2 because of the additional explosions, but you still have to try to stay in control and often just move a little to the side instead of dashing away in panic. Use Clawline to get around faster and deal damage (I didn't, which in hindsight was a mistake). Remember you can deflect his whirlwind attack (I didn't, it took me too long in Act 3 to realize that deflecting has become essential). When he tries to whirlwind you into a corner, jump over him and dash/clawline over the soon to be exploding sparkles (02:24) Once Trobbio goes into a dramatic posture and screams, additional fireworks start shooting from the ground (02:48) and things will get even more hectic. A good time to deploy an auto hitting tool like the Cogfly. Again, carefully position yourself between fireworks without moving too much while having an eye on Trobbio who'll probably shoot or throw something else at you. When you get there, enjoy Trobbio's dramatic downfall and descent into darkness plus his dire warning from the afterlife.
