Pumpkin seed oil is everywhere right now as a “natural hair growth remedy”… but does it actually work? In this video, we break down every clinical study, every before-and-after photo, and the real science behind pumpkin seed oil for hair growth and hair regrowth. We start with the 2014 clinical trial on 76 men with androgenic alopecia—the first human study to test pumpkin seed oil supplements for male pattern baldness. After six months, men taking 400 mg of pumpkin seed oil showed a 40% increase in hair count, far better than the 10% increase seen with placebo. The study even included before-and-after scalp photos, and we review them closely. We then look at newer research, including the 2019 and 2020 animal studies, followed by the 2021 human trial on 60 women, where pumpkin seed oil was compared directly to 5% minoxidil. We walk through the photos, discuss which treatment performed better, and talk about limitations in the research—such as why minoxidil may appear stronger and why the once-per-day dosing was questionable. You’ll also learn the leading theory on how pumpkin seed oil may promote hair growth: possible 5-alpha reductase inhibition, reduced DHT activity, and the role of beta-sitosterol, which is also used in premium hair regrowth supplements. But we also point out what the studies didn’t measure—and why more research is needed. trials. Two human clinical trials appear to show pumpkin seed oil improves hair growth when used daily for between 3 months and 6 months. One study shows minoxidil is superior to pumpkin seed oil. Pumpkin seed oil is thought to inhibit the enzyme that converts testosterone to DHT. More study is needed. Pumpkin seed oil contains beta-sitosterol, which is also thought to improve hair loss. 🔴 🔴Things I like & use: Aged garlic extract https://amzn.to/2LP3tlr Best Blender on Earth https://amzn.to/2ypgzxa Best Juicer on Earth https://amzn.to/2LR1BIW 🔴🔴 🔴Things used to make this video: 1 Lot’s of work 2 This video editing software: https://amzn.to/2V7sr28 3 This Microphone: https://amzn.to/2RslCFH 4 This computer: https://amzn.to/3ZkViyR 🔴🔴🔴 My websites: https://joe-cannon.com/ https://supplementclarity.com/ My books: https://amzn.to/2L3tOLc 🔶 ➡️ 🔶 ➡️ I’m NOT a doctor, pharmacist, or dietitian.
