Album Reviews: Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water by Limp Bizkit

JumbleJunkie and I thought it would be great fun to review our most embarrassing cd or cds. I'm going to try to make a week out of it, since I'm a loser and have way too many embarrassingly bad albums. In 2000, Interscope Records released an album by some relatively unknown metal pioneers named Limp Bizkit. Utilizing a wide array of influences from grindcore to flamenco jazz, these young lads developed a distinct sound of their own call rap nu-metal. They were the only band to have perfected this sound. Lush, rich tapestries of sound and deep, insightful lyrics give this album an intelligent, even poignant feel to it. It was akin to reading a book of poetry while Miles Davis serenaded you.
