The United Nations has confirmed that Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will travel to Moscow for meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on April the 26th. The U.N. Chief had earlier this week sent separate letters to both Russia and Ukraine requesting an audience with the leaders of both countries to discuss urgent steps to bring about peace in Ukraine. Talks will also include discussions on the future of multilateralism based on the U.N. Charter and international law. Guterres was due to travel to West Africa next week but that trip has now been postponed. For more news, visit sabcnews.com and also #SABCNews on all Social Media platforms.
