Today, we embarked on our daily adventure from the Marina Pez Vela in Quepos, Costa Rica, aboard the Big Eye 2, our state-of-the-art sportfishing vessel. Our target for the day was the elusive Roosterfish, or as we say in Spanish, Pez Gallo. Our half-day expedition started early in the morning under the watchful eye of the rising sun. The weather was on our side, with clear skies and calm seas making for perfect fishing conditions. We set out to the well-known fishing grounds around the Manuel Antonio National Park, a region renowned for its abundant marine life. We started trolling with live bait, a technique that has proven to be effective for Roosterfish. The morning was fruitful as we managed to hook a couple of these magnificent fighters. The Roosterfish are known for their strength and agility, making them a prized catch for any angler. Our clients had the thrill of their lives reeling in these magnificent creatures. The afternoon brought more action. The Roosterfish were biting, and we managed to land several more. Each catch was released back into the water after a quick photo, practicing our commitment to sustainable fishing practices. As the day came to a close, we returned to the Marina Pez Vela, with our clients delighted with their fishing adventure. Today was indeed a day of good fishing, with the Roosterfish providing plenty of action. Tomorrow, we plan to target Sailfish and Marlin, two of the most sought-after gamefish in the world.
