Islamic State Destroys Oldest Christian Monastery in Iraq

Satellite photos secured by the Associated Press have confirmed the desolation of St. Elijah’s Monastery, the oldest Christian monastery in Iraq. The Islamic State is believed to have razed the 1,400-year-old building near Mosul between August and September of 2014.
