[22] Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island / SNES / Retro Achievements (Part 4) - Game Grump

EPISODE 22 SUPER MARIO WORLD 2: YOSHI’S ISLAND (PART 4) SUPER NINTENDO Originally streamed on Twitch and Kick on July 1, 2024 and July 9, 2024. After the meltdown in World 3, you haven’t seen anything yet! Tensions boil as the adventure on Yoshi’s Island and the challenge to 100% each world becomes more and more frustrating. Though successful in the challenge thus far, morale is on the low end as we lead into the second half of the adventure tired and very grumpy. Shenanigans continue in World 4 with surprise attacks from underwater Cheep-Cheeps, out of sight Piranha Plants sniping Yoshi with projectiles, Bandits hidden behind giant crystals, Lakitus being Lakitus, and those horrible, trolling flying Shyguys teasing us with red coins then flying away without a care in the world. Absolute grumpiness takes center stage in this episode as we plow and claw our way through these challenges and attempt to complete World 4. STORY A long time ago, two brothers were born and traveling by stork to be delivered to their home. Suddenly, a shadow in the distance appears, a figure flies by, grabbing one of the babies as the other falls from the sky! Kamek, loyal servant of the Koopa Kingdom, had a premonition that the newborn brothers would lead to the destruction of their kingdom! Though Kamek had successfully captured one of the babies and the stork, the other had seemingly disappeared. On an island far away inhabited by Yoshis, a small baby falls from the sky and lands on one of the island residents. The Yoshi quickly takes the baby to his home, showing him to friends, all willing to help find the baby’s home. It looks like the baby knows where he wants to go! The Yoshis agree to help the baby find his way home, but danger is lurking as Kamek’s minions are searching for the baby.
