Author's Note: To try to clear up any confusion on the subject, I will explain the title. I'm not very good when it comes to coming up with titles (the good ones always seem to be taken), so my series' title is in Latin. It's pronunciation is as follows: Ah-More Moo-Seek-Eye. If I translated it correctly (it has been a while since I took Latin), it means "The Love of Music." In addition, with the exception of a handful of chapters, the series will be from Nick's P.O.V. I would also like to thank JickStory6244 for helping me with the video portion of my story. Please feel free to leave any and all kinds of comments or (preferably constructive) criticisms. Mrs. Jonas:*excited* "Nick, we're here!" The car ride was a lot longer than I thought it would be. I guess I passed out on the road. At least I'm finally here in Rockleigh. I'm ready to start my life anew. The first breath I took felt so fresh, like cold water on a sweltering day. Mrs. Jonas: "Make sure you put all of your things away. We have to get you registered for school so that you can start tomorrow." Nick:*somewhat sarcastic* "Ok, mom." Even though I didn't really want to move, it was the best thing to do. Not only does it seem nice here, but I also knew mom had to get away from those old memories. That was the real reason we moved, whether she'll admit it or not. Nick:*pleading* "Can't I wait another week before starting school? We just got here!" Mrs. Jonas: "We moved one week after the school here started. I refuse to let you get two weeks behind. Now hurry, we have to get you registered over the phone." Nick: "Please don't make me go! You can home school me or something." Mrs. Jonas: "I've got too many things on my plate to try and teach you." Nick:*sighs* "School's going to be hard." Mrs. Jonas: "I know it's going to be scary starting school in a new town. I also know that you're going to be a high school freshman, but you don't have anything to worry about." Nick:*anxious* "What if I don't make any friends?" Mrs. Jonas: "Now, Nick, don't sell yourself short. You're a sweet boy. Who wouldn't want to be your friend? If you just be yourself, then you'll be fine." Nick:*cracks a smile* "Thanks, mom. I appreciate it." LATER THAT NIGHT I wish I could take mom's advice, but being myself is the last thing I want to do. I just have to make sure that my secret isn't discovered. Nobody can know. Not even mom can know. Finding out now, after all that she's been through so far, would kill her. I know it would. I've kept it hidden this long, but I'm not sure how much longer I can keep it inside. Its getting harder and harder to keep my true self from surfacing, but I'll just have to try...for her sake. To be continued... I know the first chapter is slow in progression (and a little short), but I promise that the next chapters will be much better.
