Antiphase synchronization of pendulums on a sliding platform
Two pendulums are attached to a platform that slides with friction on a rail. As the pendulums swing, the platform is moved, and that motion is dampened by the platform/rail friction. Over time, all motion patterns by the pendulums are dampened out except for the one that keeps the platform stationary—antiphase synchronized swinging.
