Around 400,000 visitors visit the Kehlsteinhaus annually, mostly on nice days, at an altitude of 1834 meters. Since the house was opened to the public in the early 50s, visitors can visit most of the rooms that are related to the gastronomy. But there are also some rooms that are not open to the public, which we would like to show you in this documentation. First of all, there are the technical operating rooms, the core of which is a powerful diesel engine from 1940. This engine is still fully functional today and ensures a reliable power supply in the event of a power failure for both the house and the elevator. The large winch motor, which is housed in the roof of the house, transports the ever-increasing number of visitors to the Kehlsteinhaus, which is 124 meters higher. Finally, join us on a breathtaking ride on the roof of the elevator car high into the interior of the house. If you enjoy our historical documentaries, restored footage, and archive-based research, you can support our work here. Every contribution helps us preserve rare historical material, restore old film footage, and continue producing new documentaries. Thank you for helping keep history alive. https://buymeacoffee.com/BEGAFILM / begafilm https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/BEGAFILM Have fun watching and thank you very much for your support! #BEGAFILM #Historyinmotion #WW2 #History #Documentary
