Punjab Imposes Smog-Related Restrictions | Schools to Open After 8:45 AM Till January 2026

The Punjab Environment Department has restricted all government and private schools from opening before 8:45 AM due to worsening smog conditions. The order, effective from November 3, 2025, to January 31, 2026, also applies to colleges and special education centers. Violations will incur fines ranging from Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh.
