How to fix Marble Tile shower floor - Tile over Tile

In this video you will see the process and products used to tile over tile in a marble shower pan. The Reason for this second installation was because , the original shower pan marble was retaining water causing discoloration. Despite what most will think, the weep holes at the drain were clear. In the process of correcting the issue we let the shower pan dry out for several weeks without use. We then made a template of the shower pan floor and cut all the New marble to be installed. We raised the drain for the marble thickness. We then sealed all the New Thassos mosaic stone twice with Oceancare penetrating sealer. Next we primed the existing shower pan floor with Mapei Ecoprime grip. The New stone was installed with Ardex X32 ,a Rapidset moisture sensitive thinset. Once this was dry we finished the installation off with grouting it with Ardex WA 100% Epoxy grout. Thank's for watching and don't forget to like the video! :)
