The 2 Problems with Amazon Parrots & What To Do | #parrot_bliss #amazonparrot #birds

In this video, I share my experiences with Amazon parrots, focusing on two main challenges Amazon owners experience: BITING and their being a ONE-PERSON BIRDS Biting #bitingsounds #amazonparrot Biting is a tricky thing. They do it out of defense because they either feel scared or want something, but the worst bites are some sort of self-defense or defending their partner. You cannot change the nature of any creature. Amazon parrots are notorious for being loud. They also are known for having one bonded mate or buddy. Unless they are raised in contact with many people and birds, this is something that may be impossible to change. To deal with an Amazon biting, you can try watching this video (I've had people say it's helped with their biting baby parrot)    • Conquer BITING! Teach Your Baby Parrot Not...   Bonding #bonding #birds #bodylanguage When an Amazon bonds with one person, they can be defensive with any other creature. This requires managing them carefully. To avoid aggressive and biting behavior that comes from any parrot being a one-person bird, monitor their body language—like recognizing when they fluff up, fan their tails, or adjust their proximity—to avoid triggering bites. Build Mutual Trust Be patient when you aim to build (mutual) trust, offering healthy treats, and creating a safe environment for your birds. Give this plenty of time. Building trust can take weeks or even years. However, with time and consistency, forming a close bond with an Amazon parrot is possible, even if they naturally lean toward being a one-person bird. My advice is to respect their comfort, build trust, and enjoy the incredible connection that can develop when you are patient and consistent with them. --- 🦜 Are you looking for a baby parrot?
