"Bad Trip" (Insane Demon) by Loltad | Geometry Dash 2.11
"Bad Trip" by Loltad was released before I first uploaded a level by him, but I have uploaded the sequel, "Worse Trip", so I figured it'd be cool to schedule while I can't check out new levels (as I'm on vacation). His unique design style is already very apparent here, mixing lots of different blocks and decorations in a really cool way. It never sticks to a single block design per structure for too long, like levels normally do per part, and instead changes more freely. The structuring itself is also very dynamic. I think it takes a good creator to make this work so well without being messy, which is something that Loltad has definitely mastered. There's an order to the chaos, if you will. The colors help tie it all together, but also the way the unique structures connect to each other. I will say that I think Loltad has noticeably improved in color usage, as some parts here look a bit washed out, such as at 0:32 and 0:56. This does create a unique look that you don't find in many other design levels, though, which is cool in its own right. All in all, though, this is an older but great level by Loltad, and it's cool to see how his unique and polished style now was still apparent back then. So many of his levels are Insane or Extreme Demon, which does put a high barrier to entry, but if you'd like a cool challenge I'd definitely try some of them.
