God of War (2018) - GMGOW NG+ - Killing Valkyrie Hildr at Level 1, No Damage

I honestly thought this one was going to be impossible for me. I've seen other videos of players do it, but they primarily use preorder-only gear and a Perfect Artifact of the Blight that allows them to extend the mist timer with Precision Throws. I probably could have gotten a similar setup going and eventually learned this, but I wanted to figure out if I could do it my own way instead. Ultimately it's just barely possible, with proper execution and a decent amount of luck. First, you need the Heart of Niflheim equipped. This extends your Mist timer from 2 minutes to 3 minutes. The Shattered Gauntlet of Ages is the only way I can achieve this while retaining level 1. Next, you need excellent maze luck and execution, so you reach Hildr with very, very close to full Mist bar remaining. After that, it's just a matter of landing a sufficient number of Chaotic Concussion to kill her within three minutes. One of the main issues with pulling this off is her ice blast move, which takes a tremendous amount of time and renders you completely helpless to do anything other than defend while it's active. I employee a couple of strategies to work around this attack. First and foremost, I use flashes of Spartan Rage activation to stop it. However, unless I can pick up the drops from Ratatoskr, I don't have enough Rage to carry me the whole fight. Getting Ratatoskr's drops without losing too much Mist timer is unreliable, so instead I'm supplementing with Spartan Charge. This is also risky. Spartan Charge will occasionally fail to stun Hildr, costing me a run. You can predict when this will happen based on the last time she was stunned and how frequently it's been happening over the last 30 seconds or so, but this is a difficult calculation to make while juggling all of the fight's other variables. This was right up there with Kara as the hardest fight to capture, but only because of me going strictly for "No Damage". I'd beaten Hildr relatively early on, but the Mist timer had drained my health bar to nearly zero. After that, I probably beat her ten other times before getting this run, but took damage in the maze or from the mist on each attempt. Still, I'm happy to have it and looking forward to getting a perfect Sigrun run to complete the set.
