Fabinho Interview - On Man Utd, 'Salah Happy At Liverpool' Despite Rumours, Praises Thiago & Jota

Liverpool's Brazilian midfielder, Fabinho, was wary of Manchester United's threat to his side's title defence, but the "the fight isn't only against United," he warned when he spoke to BeanymanSports on Tuesday. "They are definitely confident and enjoying a good momentum in the league. They are winning some games that perhaps they weren't last season," he added. Fabinho has taken a key role this season for Jurgen Klopp's side in defence, leading from the back due to the absence of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez, who have picked up season-ending injuries. Since the start of this season, the 27-year-old has mastered his centre-back role and has had no less of an impact on the quality in the side than Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, who has been linked with fresh exit rumours. "Big players will always have their names involved in rumours. Salah plays for Liverpool, one of the biggest teams in the world. So I think it's normal to see his name linked to other teams," explained Fabinho. The addition of Thiago Alcantara and Diogo Jota to The Reds' squad was welcomed by Fabinho, not only because of the quality they bring to the side, but also because they are "two Portuguese speakers and it's great to have two more," at Liverpool.
