#CycloneAmphan made landfall in West Bengal, India, near the Bangladeshi border. I pray for the speedy recovery of people effected by #CycloneAmphan Indian officials said that up to 300,000 people in coastal areas are in immediate danger from potentially deadly storm surges and flooding. Dramatic videos of an electrical transformer sparking and exploding in Kolkata this evening have emerged on social media as Cyclone Amphan battered Bengal. [Source - Media Report] Several trees have been uprooted, walls have collapsed and three people died as monster winds of Cyclone Amphan hammered the state. [Source - Media Report] The cyclone is centred over northwest Bay of Bengal near Latitude 19.45 degrees North and Longitude 87.52 degrees East at 6.30 am on May 20. The wind speed of the ‘most intense’ cyclone in the sea right now is around 200 kmph and is moving towards north northwestward direction.
