Betsy Kling and Mark Johnson teamed up on '3News at 6' Monday to give us our Northeast Ohio Weather Impact Alert forecast! Our first snow of the season is here, and Weather Impact Alerts will be sticking around through at least Tuesday morning. Lake-effect snow will be around for the evening commute for some areas. Scattered lake effect showers will try to become more focused on the snow belt areas overnight. A couple additional inches are possible where bands persist. Temperatures drop below freezing tonight and winds stay blustery. That will give some of the lingering snow a better chance to stick and cause some concerns with visibility as well as slick roads. Plan on needing extra drive time overnight and into early Tuesday. You'll be likely to encounter changing conditions, especially if you cover some ground. Best potential for lingering lake effect on Tuesday will be in the morning and for the primary snowbelt. This should taper off with drier conditions around later on. Winds stay breezy with temperatures only in the 30s. Betsy and Mark have more: https://www.wkyc.com/article/weather/... At 3News, we’re here to share your voice and tell your story.
