It's been four months since the minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology announced that students at tertiary institutions who qualify for the National Student Financial Aid Scheme or NSFAS, will receive laptops as part of government's remote learning strategy for this year. But, to date there's been no disbursement of the laptops. The portfolio committee on Higher Education, Science and Technology told parliament this week that they are concerned that the tender procurement process for the laptops might be yet another COVID-19 corruption scandal. Joining us now to discuss this is the portfolio committee of Higher Education, Science and Technology Chairperson, Philly Mapulane.
