Inauguration of Symbiosis Studio Kitchen 6 April 2023

Symbiosis Institute of Culinary Arts (SSCA), inaugurated the state of the art one of its kind Symbiosis Studio Kitchen and Live Cookery Show on Thursday, 6th April 2023 at Symbiosis Institute of Culinary Arts (SSCA), Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Campus, Lavale, Pune. Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, Celebrity Chef and Distinguished Professor, Symbiosis International University (SIU) was the Chief Guest for the function. He along with other chefs from different regions from India demonstrated regional millet recipes during the live cookery show. Mrs. Sanjeevani S. Mujumdar, Hon. Director, Symbiosis Society’s Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum and Memorial was the Guest of Honour for the function. Dr. S. B. Mujumdar, Founder and President, Symbiosis and Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University) presided over the function. Speaking at the occasion Chef Sanjeev Kapoor said, this Symbiosis Studio Kitchen is the first in India and will inspire more kitchens like this in the country. Dr. S. B. Mujumdar, Founder and President, Symbiosis and Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University) in his speech mentioned that, the staple food of the poorest person in India is Millets, particularly Ragi but now it has become the delicious food of the rich people. Very soon India will be known for the varied beautiful products of the Millets and Ragi will be on the top. In our country the two main characteristics of civilization are Bhajan & Bhojan, Dr. Mujumdar added further. Dr. Rajani Gupte, Vice Chancellor Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Dr. Rajiv Yeravdekar, Provost, Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Anu Aga, an Indian billionaire businesswoman and social worker were the other distinguished dignitaries present for the function. Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar, Principal Director, Symbiosis and Pro Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University) gave the welcome address. Prof. Atul Gokhale, Director, Symbiosis Institute of Culinary Arts was the anchor of the program. Symbiosis Studio Kitchen is a state of the art Kitchen Auditorium, designed for large specialised cooking demonstrations and master classes. Symbiosis Studio Kitchen is one of its kind in the country, and is a platform designed to be used by chefs and culinary experts from across the world. This 150-seater fully air-conditioned culinary studio is equipped with the latest and best cooking and AV technology for shooting culinary videos.
