Sure we have to help Maggey but the odds are not on our side. It just isn't. When we have to cross examine Gumshoe, it becomes hard and yeah, he's doing his job. Maggey should know this. But it's also where things start to slowly and surely unravel. Oh and some foreshadowing from Godot since there are certain things he can't see. And then Victor Kudo takes the stand and it goes from bad to worse. However we do press on and buy some time. Part 3 is the Investigation and what we find here is anything but good. In fact, it's depressing. Case 3: Recipe for Turnabout A phony Phoenix?! What gives!? Reading an article, Nick discovers that he had lost a trial and in a truly pathetic way too. One problem: he never even took the case to begin with. Now he must set things right with a retrial.
