Fix PS5 DualSense Controller "Stick Drift" (Skip to replace battery ONLY) PLEASE HELP ME at the end!

In this video I share all the details to fix the most common issue on ANY PS5 DualSense controller, and that is the dreaded "STICK DRIFT", a phenomenon easily diagnosed by the ghost-like appearance of movement from the controller that you're not actually making happen, it's just happening on it's own!! I start with the ZERO COST repair of simply cleaning the analog stick action assembly parts with isopropyl alcohol, whether you use wipes or a spray doesn't matter. SPOILER in this case cleaning didn't fix stick drift as I show after I ONLY cleaned the action plate then reassembled to test if cleaning alone would fix the issue. Next, I take it to the next level and disassemble the controller again and REPLACE (SOME COST) the action plate with spare parts from the analog sticks I bought on Amazon to see if that fixes the issue. SPOILER IT DID!! IF replacing the action plate didn't fix the stick drift issue FOR YOU, the next step would be desoldering the analog stick side assembly and installing and soldering in a new side, pins and action plate and all. The new action plate didn't fix it, so it's the internal side of the green assembly that's damaged and needs replaced. This is by far the MOST experienced level of repair for stick drift. Soldering tools are a necessity, and doing this type of work one time might not be cost effective for you. BUT, if I get enough responses that full analog side assembly replacement is needed, I'll make ANOTHER video on how to do that as well as sharing all the tools and equipment used on that job!
