Foxton Locks, Grand Union Canal, Incline Plane in Leicestershire | Canal History We go Gongoozling on a visit to Foxton Locks, the Incline Plane, and more...we learned a lot and appreciate that if you are watching this from another part of the UK and looking for places to visit if you are coming to Leicestershire or have never been, we can definitely recommend it! On the day we were there the lock keepers were teaching the kids how the locks work and letting them open the gates! If you are in another country and can't get to visit here then I hope you find it interesting as unlike rivers in the UK our canals are all man-made and only about 4ft deep.
