405 Freeway shut down to investigate shooting involving officer

All northbound lanes of the 405 Freeway in Hawthorne have been closed to investigate a shooting involving California Highway Patrol officers on Thursday night. A SigAlert was issued for lanes at Inglewood Avenue a little before 8 p.m., according to CHP. Authorities first received a call reporting a fire at a homeless encampment near the on-ramp of the 405 Freeway at Rosecrans.
