Coastal foraging and underwater hunting for free food - spider crabs - in the UK. Spider crabs visit our shores for just a few months, every year. We're lucky enough to be able to catch them in extreemely shallow water and without the aid of a scuba tank! In this video, I make the most of the situation and take a few pieces of firewood and a cooking pot, to cook up my catch. My mate Aaron joined me along with his wife who took charge in creating the best Asian style broth I've ever tasted. I can't quite remember what she put in the broth but these are what I can remember: Ginger, Garlic, Chinese celery, White pepper, Egg, Tofu, Onion, Chinese stock, Some super skinny mushrooms, Soy sauce, Shaoxing cooking wine and more...
