One of my favorite all-time R&B hits from 1969 and perfect for the summer season that has now begun! No meaning here, only good times and memories. This is The Friends Of Distinction's cover of Hugh Masekela's 1968 hit, Grazing In The Grass. Released in March 1969, the song went Top 5 on both the pop and soul charts in the US, peaking at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 on June 7, 1969 and #6 on Cash Box on June 21, 1969.
