One of the outstanding qualities of our Fresno County Sheriff - Coroner's Office is the commitment to support our community, both in safety and well-being. This is why we are proud to announce our April Donate Life California eCampaign, designed to provide every Fresno County resident with an easy way to make a difference by registering as donors through the California Organ & Tissue Donor Registry. Chances are fairly good you might know of someone who is enduring years of grueling kidney dialysis treatment – hoping that their dream of a life-saving organ transplant comes true. Maybe it’s a person whose eyesight is failing – or they already have lost the ability to see the smile on faces of their loved ones and are in need of a corneal transplant. Over 1,000 patients in our area are awaiting a life-saving organ and thousands more will require some type of tissue transplant to continue leading a pain-free healthy life. At your fingertips you now have the power to make a difference and give hope to those who are waiting – all you have to do is join the Donate Life California Donor Registry. Another way to register is at the DMV when renewing your driver’s license or ID card. Either way, you are truly giving hope to the more than 21,000 people in California waiting for a second chance at life.
