Vemurafenib plus cobimetinib achieves significant progression-free survival in melanoma

At a press conference at ESMO 2014, Prof McArthur (Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne, Australia) presents the results of a phase III trial which found that combination therapy with both BRAF inhibitor vemurafenib and MEK inhibitor cobimetinib achieved greater progression-free survival and response rates than vemurafenib plus placebo in BRAF-mutation positive melanoma.
