Saints Row is an open world action-adventure game and the fifth main installment in the Saints Row series, following 2013's Saints Row IV. The game is set within the fictional city of Santo Ileso, which is loosely based on Las Vegas. The single-player story follows four friends called “The Saints” who start their own outlaw gang, which seizes power from other criminal organizations in the city. Saints Row is played from a third-person view and navigated on-foot or by vehicle. Players can choose to fight enemies by using firearms and other tools or call in NPC gang members to assist them. Similar to past Saints Row games, players control the gang's leader "the Boss", who has highly customizable traits. Players are able to freely explore the city of Santo Illeso outside of the main storyline as well as complete different side activities. An online multiplayer co-op mode is also included, which allows two players to play together in the single-player campaign while progressing in each of their own games. Saints Row released on August 23, 2022, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Google Stadia.
