Kubota BX 25 differential lock fail, making new HST FAN SHROUD.

The plastic HST differential fan gets a durable shield. It STILL works in 2024, built 2017. Parts are ordered, new rear differential hub, spider gears and the differential lock and pins. In the meantime, the rig is quite dirty and gasket surfaces need to be cleaned, ready to assemble. Update January 2024: 3062 hours and Fan is intact. ( Sept2017 ) : The fan works awesome. I haven't broke anything yet and when operating the backhoe, I can actually feel the warm air exiting the rear of the tractor. I believe the shroud has increased directional airflow over the HST housing. Ducted fans are favored in VTOL aircraft such as the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II, and other low-speed designs such as hovercraft for their higher thrust-to-weight ratio. In some cases, a shrouded rotor can be 94% more efficient than an open rotor.
