Storm Surge for Percussion Ensemble by Robert Clayson

Robert Clayson, Percussion 1-12 Written for: Timpani (2) Chimes Glockenspiel Vibraphone Xylophone Marimba (two players on one 4.3 octave marimba) Triangle Toms (2) Tambourine Snare Drum Bass Drum Storm Surge is a grade 2-3 percussion ensemble piece that is meant to portray a storm rampaging through a coastal town. The piece has a wide array of difficulty, so it should work well for groups that have multiple grade levels in one ensemble. This recording is not the best quality. I played every part one by one in our large rehearsal room at Troy University with a click track and a USB microphone and then put them all together in Garage Band (I do not recommend doing this). I hope to have the resources to have an actual ensemble play this at some point, but this will do for now. Enjoy! This piece is set to be published by C-Alan Publications! Be sure to check it out!
