The two villains merge into Dark Kahn, causing the DC and Mortal Kombat universes to combine. This fusion results in fluctuating abilities among the characters, leading to violent outbreaks of rage. Some characters gain strength or vulnerability, like Superman's susceptibility to magic and the Joker's newfound ability to challenge skilled martial artists. Mistakenly blaming each other for the merger, the two worlds engage in a fierce battle. Eventually, only Raiden and Superman remain as representatives of their respective sides. Despite their initial hostility, they realize they share a common enemy in Dark Kahn and manage to overcome their rage. Together, they defeat Dark Kahn, restoring the separation between the two universes. As the dust settles, all the other characters return to their original realms, while Darkseid and Shao Kahn face eternal imprisonment in each other's domains: Darkseid in the Netherrealm and Shao Kahn in the Phantom Zone. ‒‒‒‒‒‒‒ ABOUT THE GAME Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe is a crossover fighting game released in 2008 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
