2018-19 South-West Indian Ocean Cyclone Season | TC XLC32 Animations

This season was the most active for the basin with 15 named storms that formed or entered the basin,a record of 11 tropical cyclones and another record of 9 intense cyclones.The season started early with 01S which formed in mid September.Multiple storms affected land areas.This season also featured Cyclone Idai;which was the costliest storm for the season AND for the whole basin.Idai was the second deadliest storm in the Southern Hemisphere behind Cyclone Flores of 1973.Kenneth delivered another blow to Mozambique a month after Idai.Cyclones Funani and Gelena affected the island of Rodrigues in rapid succession.This animation will show the relevant tropical cyclones of the extremely active,deadly and costly season of the SWIO Basin in 2018-19.Enjoy!!! :) MUSIC:A Himitsu ~ Stories    • A Himitsu - Stories   TC XLC32 2023
