Ranking Every Giallo Horror Movie I've Seen and It Gets Messy

I've seen around 40 giallo horror movies and giallo homages, especially from the golden age of giallo from the 70s through the 80s — and today I'm ranking them into tiers: from God Tier down to the ones I needed a whole bottle of J&B (and maybe even a chaser) to survive. Some beloved classic giallo films are NOT landing where you'd expect. 🔪🥃 What is Giallo? "Giallo (plural gialli) is a highly stylized Italian subgenre of horror and thriller films. Translating to "yellow" in Italian, the term gets its name from a famous series of pulpy, yellow-covered crime novels published in the 1920s and 30s. Cinematically, these films blend murder mysteries with graphic violence, eroticism, and eccentric style." My tier ranking list includes many films that later inspired American slasher movies and other horror movies as well! Suspiria is not on the list.
