Sane Relic Challenge is a challenge created by ‪@TooneySA‬ where it is essentially a Crate Gem Time Trial. You must break every crate in the level including bonuses, and you must start the level without a mask. The Timer begins on the first input and ends when both of Crash's feet land on the vortex for the second time. There are four Relics to earn: Emerald, Ruby, Diamond and N. Sane (the equivalent of Sapphire, Gold, Platinum, and a difficult Developer-like time, respectively). An additional requirement for the N. Sane Relic is you must complete the level deathless, (ala Crash 4: It's About Time) but the other relics can be obtained with deaths. Relic times are loosely based on the World Record but are obviously adjusted to make for a fun and fair challenge for everyone of all skill levels. See the video linked near the top of the description for Tooney's introduction to the challenge. Run Notes Maybe I went a bit overboard with the editing but I don't care, I wanted to play around and have a bit of fun with it and see how authentic I could make things look! The timer was a ballache to make but I think it works well. Pretty happy with this run. No doubt it's possible to shave some time off on console but this is just for a bit of fun so I'm not going to stress myself out too much over it. I can see some of these N. Sane Relics being incredibly tough on console but I'm looking forward to the challenge, and if I can't do it, then I'll just try to give it all I can. If you have doubts that I didn't break all the crates, then you can tell by how fast the level fades out. If it is a slow, one and a half second fadeout, then you were successful, otherwise it will be a much faster fadeout into the missed crate scene. You can also see the raw footage with timer only linked at the top of the description which will include a couple seconds extra before and after the run for further proof. In the future I will try to show the crate counter at the end of the level if I deem it necessary.
