ELITE DANGEROUS: ODYSSEY - HOW TO MAKE MILLIONS IN CREDITS AS A NEW PLAYER, PART 1

When this thing drags you in and you find you just ‘have’ to play it, you quickly realise that you need ‘Credits’, “CR”, cash, game money. You need solvency because 250,000 CR ain’t gonna cut it. I’m new to ED. I have a few hundred hours in the game, that’s all, but I stumbled across a way of generating millions of credits with zero “Threat” and entirely legitimately. In fact, over the hours it takes to acquire a few million credits in this way, there is plenty to learn - such as, becoming a much better (competent) pilot, becoming familiar with your ship’s interfaces and, that you can crash on the surface of a planet and your shields will save you, for a while, until they’ve had enough of your confused inputs because, thinking you were safe, you stepped away from your computer to get a coffee, got chatting about something else and, as a result, no longer know which way is up and you tap the surface once too often and actually crash and die! So there’s that. There is learning here but, be warned, this method for generating millions of credits is also hours of grind. At the time of writing, some days after this video was made, I have the featured Commander, Lucas Sterling II, at over 7,000,000 CR. In this video, you can watch him work earn over 3-million CR, in about an hour! Generating the extra 4-million CR took less than a couple of hours. Let’s say 2-million an hour. What is interesting is that the average price per mission increases the more you do this method. I observed that it starts at about 25,000 per mission and will increase to around 45,000 per mission somewhere over 10,000,000 CRs. OK, yes, I understand that 45K is “nothing” but loaded with 20 of these missions you’re looking at a ‘job lot’ of anywhere between 250,000 and 700,000 per trip. In that context, you understand how the credits accumulate. And, yes, anyone can do this, but can it done as quickly?
