Office of Sustainability Internship Program

Now in its ninth year, the IU Office of Sustainability internship program continues to grow, utilizing campus as a living-learning lab and enlisting students as researchers in our community. Through internships co-mentored by staff and faculty members, students conduct research and develop programming focused on general sustainability outreach and education or in specific topic areas such as food, transportation or resource use. "Since 2007, over 220 sustainability interns have provided a vital link between academic programs and campus operations to transform our campus and community into a sustainability living learning lab," Director of Sustainability Bill Brown said. "Through these diverse and challenging collaborations, they grow as scholars and leaders, passing on legacies upon which others may build."
