Ans: One Day when the peddler was walking on the road, Suddenly a thought came in his mind that the way a rat gets caught in rattrap for the greed (Bait) in the same way people also get trapped in worldly materialistic things. Ans: The crofter’s circumstances and temperament made him so talkative and friendly with the peddler. Since he had no wife or child, he was happy to get someone to talk to in his loneliness.
