Oct 8 2011 Mojave Air and Spaceport, Mojave CA- Scott Horner became the first to earn inclusion into seven 200 MPH Clubs and is the only member of every 200 Club in the U.S. He made a single run on an unfamiliar turbo charged Suzuki Hayabusa and was timed at 208.700 MPH. That speed was the fastest the bike had ever been, and was done without the aid of the aerodynamic fairing's or bodywork. In Land Speed Racing they call that running "naked". Scott has entered five 200 MPH Clubs on a naked bike, his fastest was 246 MPH! Bub and Texas Mile are the two Clubs that his first run or record over 200 was on a faired bike. He later exceeded 200 naked at those venues as well. In just a handful of years Scott has amassed 14 Land Speed Records, 10 at the Bonneville Salt Flats for which two are FIM World Records. All but two of his records were set riding a naked bike. Scott is the owner/operator of Heads Up Performance, a motorcycle shop that specializes in Hayabusa engines and turbo systems located in Sandy Utah.
