Decorated D-Day veteran Carl Mann was buried at the esteemed Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday - the 75th anniversary of the Normandy landings. The Indiana veteran (top right and inset after his basic training) passed away on March 30 at the age of 96. He was laid to rest in an emotional ceremony in a flag-covered casket (left). He had earned three Purple Hearts and seven Bronze Stars for his time in the Europe war front serving in the 5th Infantry Division of Gen. George S. Patton's 3rd Army.
