Zoom in on its climb out of Las Vegas, where it appears on radar just like any other civilian flight. Watch as the plane enters the restricted airspace of the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR) — known as “The Box” — where its transponder signal is cut, and it vanishes from public tracking tools. 🎙️ I narrate the entire experience live: “And now we’re watching JANET 15… It’s heading due north. This is where it will disappear — right into the heart of classified U.S. airspace. From here, it’s likely heading to Groom Lake… where the real secrecy begins.” ✈️THE HISTORY OF JANET AIRLINES – AMERICA’S ‘NON-EXISTENT’ AIRLINE Once the tracking goes dark, the video transitions into a detailed historical overview of the JANET program. JANET is a code name (unofficially said to stand for “Joint Air Network Employee Transportation”) used to refer to a fleet of highly classified government-operated aircraft, managed by the U.S. Air Force and its civilian contractor AECOM (formerly EG&G Special Projects). 🛩️ Origins: Developed in the Cold War era, when clandestine air transport was needed for engineers and defense workers traveling to secretive testing ranges like Area 51, Tonopah Test Range, and the Nevada Test Site.
