Korea on hold as students take college entrance exams 오늘 전국 수능 비상

Back here on Earth,... and more specifically Korea,.... hundreds of thousands of high school seniors will take the most important tests of their young lives today. Six-hundred-forty-thousand students will sit down for their College Scholastic Ability Test which officially starts at 8.40am, Korea time and lasts eight hours. Their results will decide whether they can get into the universities of their choice. The Korea Meteorological Administration issued a cold wave advisory early Thursday morning... the first since the CSAT was first introduced back in 1994. And in consideration for exam takers... offices around the nation will open one hour late and more subway trains and buses are running so that students are not late for their exams. Even airplanes will be forbidden to make takeoffs or landings for 35 minutes in the afternoon... during the listening test hours.
