Heading West: We Find An Amazing Camp On The Ophir Pass!
Ophir Pass is located about 14 miles from Telluride CO. This summit of this pass reaches a little over 11,700 feet and while most of the terrain is fairly easy in good weather conditions, there is a short section of shelf road that can be a bit unnerving . Ophir Pass is also a Jeep Badge of Honor trail and the BOH app rates it as a 3-4. We found an amazing camp on the east side of the pass tucked away by an old mine and creek thanks to OnX Offroad.
