Recitation Of Surah Ad-Duha With Arabic Text | سورۃ الضحی al-Ḍuḥā (Arabic: الضحى‎, “The Morning Hours”, “Morning Bright”) is the ninety-third chapter (surah) of the Qur'an with 11 verses (āyat) . Qur'an 93 takes its name from Arabic al-ḍuḥā "the morning", the very first word. Although there is some debate amongst scholars, this sura is often considered to be the second revealed to Muhammad. After the first sura was received, al-Alaq, there was a period of silence in which no further messages were revealed. During this time, the new Prophet wondered if he had somehow displeased God, who it seemed for a while was no longer sending down His message. This sura broke that silence, and reassured Muhammad that all will be understood in time. When should we read Surah Duha? (i) To recover a lost/runaway person, recite Surah Ad-Duha daily 111 times for 11 days. (ii) To know the outcome of a work (Istikhara) through dream, recite Surah Ad-Duha 21 times after Isha daily for 7 days. (iii) To get rid of fear/nightmares, recite Surah Ad-Duha 7 times before sleeping. Meaning By the forenoon (after sun-rise); And by the night when it is still (or darkens); Your Lord (O Muhammad) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. Did He not find you (O Muhammad) an orphan and gave you a refuge? And He found you unaware (of the Qur'an, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? And He found you poor, and made you rich (self-sufficient with self-contentment, etc.)? Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, And repulse not the beggar; And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces).
