Top News | In connection with the suspected land-for-jobs scam, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed a supplementary chargesheet against Tejashwi Yadav, the RJD leader and deputy chief minister of Bihar, identifying him as an accused for the first time. The supplemental chargesheet also listed Tejashwi's parents, former railway minister and RJD leader Lalu Prasad, and former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi. The CBI filed a FIR in May of last year accusing Lalu Prasad, Rabri Devi, their daughters Misa Bharti and Hema Yadav, as well as 12 other people. On October 7, the initial chargesheet was submitted and listed them as defendants. The matter relates to suspected corruption that allegedly occurred while Lalu Prasad served as the UPA-1 government's minister of railways from 2004 to 2009.
