The Runaway, kicks off just as Kratos and Freya are leaving Vanaheim. Guided by one of Odin's ravens, he traverses the harsh landscape to reach the base of Hrimthur's Wall, a massive structure guarding Asgard. Demonstrating his agility and resolve, Atreus scales the wall, showcasing his determination to confront the challenges ahead. Upon reaching the summit, Atreus encounters Heimdall, the ever-watchful guardian of Asgard. Despite Heimdall's initial hostility and skepticism, Atreus manages to convince him of his intentions, leading to an escort into the heart of Asgard. In Asgard, Atreus is introduced to Odin, who presents himself as a wise and understanding figure. Odin shares his perspective on the prophecies and the looming threat of Ragnarök, attempting to align Atreus's goals with his own. This meeting sets the stage for Atreus's internal conflict between his familial bonds and the allure of altering fate. This chapter is pivotal in Atreus's character development, highlighting his struggle between following his father's guidance and seeking his own path.
