Teen Killed After Bus Runs Over Ultra-Orthodox Protesters In Jerusalem | 10 News

A teenage boy has been killed and three other youths injured after a bus rammed into Haredi protesters during a mass ultra-Orthodox Jewish rally against military conscription in Jerusalem on Tuesday. The 14-year-old victim was hit by a bus at an intersection in the city’s ultra-Orthodox neighbourhood of Romema as thousands packed a main street to protest plans to draft them into the military. President Isaac Herzog said in a statement, “Violence is a crossing of the reddest line in the most severe and dangerous sense. This painful evening must serve as a wake-up call to all of us, and especially to all those involved: this is the time to show responsibility, to lower the flames, and to do everything to prevent the next disaster, before it is too late.” It is understood the driver has been arrested and police are investigating.
